Chad Grant

Chad Grant is a trusted advisor to public policy makers and private sector leaders. As Senior Vice President, Chad plays a key role at Grant Consulting Group, providing clients with strategy guidance that is informed by in-depth experience with federal, state and international government officials. Chad has a proven record for coordinating large scale projects with numerous stakeholder groups from Fortune 100 companies to startups in the financial services, technology, health, public safety, and cybersecurity sector.

Chad joined Grant Consulting Group after managing a broad portfolio of issues for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO). He served on several cybersecurity and health advisory boards during his tenure at NASCIO. He has been a keynote speaker at national conferences and also provided insight into the priorities of state CIOs on numerous panels. As a Senior Policy Analyst he coordinated with federal, state, and local government officials and provided guidance to members on best practices and strategy for an enterprise approach to IT services.

While also serving as the Senior Policy Analyst for NASCIO, he also was the Account Executive for the Kentucky Association of Nurse Anesthetists (KyANA) and managed the 800+ member organization and the KyANA Political Action Committee. Major accomplishments included a grassroots campaign to fight off legislation that would threaten the role of CRNA’s in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Chad began his career in government at the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee. As a Legislative Analyst, Chad was responsible for managing floor proceedings, markups, and hearings for health, commerce, and trade related issues. While at the Energy and Commerce Committee he also participated in several field hearings across the country and traveled to Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu to discuss commerce and trade on behalf of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Chad is a native of Michigan, and he received his B.A. in Political Science from Boston University. He also was a Division I student-athlete, 4 year starter, and 2 year captain of the Boston University Wrestling Team. Chad resides in Lexington, KY with his wife Emily Grant.
